Thank you for contacting Fitness Alive!
Here are the next steps:
Interested in private or semiprivate lessons?
If you are interested in private (1 on 1) or semiprivate (2 on 1) lessons, we keep a waitlist of interested swimmers — note: demand is high for these spots! — and fill openings on a rolling basis as our vacancies match your schedule. If you’d like to add your name to our waitlist, please fill out this form (with as much detail as possible!) and we will reach out when we have a suitable opening. Filling out the form linked above is a *required* first step in booking private and semiprivate lessons with us.
Interested in group classes?
If you are interested in small-group classes (including Baby Bubbles), please scroll below to our short FAQ, which will likely provide you with answers to your questions. You should also read the Classes page on our site for a detailed outline of our class levels, and links to register.

How much do lessons and classes cost?
For lessons and classes held at our home-base pool, Fitness Works (714 Reed Street):
• Private lessons: $40 per 30-minute lesson
• Semiprivate lessons (2 children, such as siblings): $30 per child per 30-minute lesson.
• Group classes: $150 for a six-week session (paid up front in full; breaks down to $25 per session)
• Sunday Baby Bubbles (this class is drop-in only, no preregistration required): $25 per child, cash paid onsite to the instructor
*No, you do not need to be a member at Fitness Works to take lessons with us, and there are no extra facility fees to pay on site. Our price is all-inclusive.
For lessons held at your pool (i.e. your apartment building, home, swim club, etc.):
• On-site private lessons: $50 per 30-minute lesson.
• On-site semiprivate lessons: $40 per child per 30-minute lesson.
After your first "trial" lesson, for which you can pay for a single session, lesson credits for private and semiprivate lessons can be purchased in packs of 5 or 10 through our online system. All group classes, except for Sunday Baby Bubbles, are paid in full ($150) in advance of your six-week session.
How many weeks do classes and lessons last?
Private and semiprivate lessons are considered ongoing and enrolled on a rolling basis as scheduling permits, so there is no hard-and-fast start and end date. You start them when you want, and end them when you want.
Our small-group classes run in six-week sessions throughout the year. Below is the 2017 class session schedule. Enrollment for the next upcoming session typically opens a week or two after the session before it begins. By adding your name to our Class waitlist, you will be the first to hear when registration opens:
Session A: March 26-May
Session B: May 14-June 2
Session C: July 9-August 19
Session D: September 11-October 22
Session E: October 29-December 16 (no classes 11/21-11/26)
Where can I learn more about Baby Bubbles?
Right here! We offer a drop-in (no registration required) class on Sundays from 9-10 am, for $25 cash per child paid on-site directly to the instructor. It’s a parent-and-child swim class, so be sure to bring your suit, too! (And remember: Non-potty-trained kiddos need to wear swim diapers. No exceptions.)
When are your Family Swim Nights?
We host Family Swim on the first Friday of every month from 6-8 pm at Fitness Works (714 Reed Street). The open-house swim night is your chance to check out our pool, learn about our program, and kick off your weekend with a splash. Drop in any time during the two-hour window for some family pool time. Details about upcoming swim nights always posted on our Facebook page; $10 cash at the door pays for the whole family.
